Site Meters
Site meters are a unique type of meter that applies to your whole site. A good example is water temperature or indoor air quality.

How to Enter a Meter Reading
*Note: If a meter reading is recorded that is outside the designated range or above the set increment, a work order may automatically generate if a meter based scheduled work order was created. We recommend testing and correcting any issues with the meter promptly, as additional readings outside the designated range or above the set increment will generate additional work orders.
From the Add Menu
- Click the Add button at the top of your screen, then select Meter Reading.
- Check the box next to the Meter Name of any meter you want to add a reading for, then click Add Selected.
- Enter the reading data, then click Save.
From a Work Order
- On the work order, click on the Meters panel to expand this section.
- Click the Add Meter button.
- From the Add New Meter window, check the box next to the Meter Name(s) you would like to add to the work order and click Add Selected.
- Enter the reading data, then click Add Meter Reading.
Corrective Work Orders generated from failed meter readings
When a meter reading falls outside the designated range or exceeds the set increment, TheWorxHub automatically generates a Corrective Work Order — provided a meter-based or meter/time-based Scheduled Work Order has been configured. The Corrective Work Order shows the triggering meter details directly in the work order log panel, so administrators can identify the cause without navigating elsewhere for meter details.
NOTE In the mobile application, failed meter reading details are displayed on the Work Order Status page of the generated Corrective Work Order.
To view meter details on a Corrective Work Order:
-
Open the Corrective Work Order.
-
Click the Log Panel to expand it.
-
Review the meter details listed under the New Note > Triggered from the Meter Reading entry.
-
Meter Name — The name of the meter that recorded the out-of-range reading.
-
Asset Name — The asset linked to the meter, if applicable.
-
Meter Type — The type of meter (e.g., Threshold or Incremental).
-
Range / Incremental — The configured threshold range or incremental value set for the meter.
